Privacy policy
No cookies, no tracking, anonymous statistics without storing IP addresses: what data InsideUX Design processes.
This is an English translation for your convenience. Only the German version of this privacy policy is legally binding. Last updated: October 2026.
1. Privacy at a glance
InsideUX Design is deliberately built to collect as little data as possible. The key points:
- No cookies for visitors, so there is no cookie banner.
- No tracking, no advertising, no social media plugins, no embedded videos or maps.
- Our own anonymous visitor statistics, without cookies and without storing IP addresses. You can object at any time (see section 4).
- All fonts and images are served from our own server. There is no connection to Google or any other third party.
Personal data is any data that can be used to identify you personally. Below we explain which data we process when you visit this website, why, and on what legal basis.
2. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
Dennis Wagner
Peulendorf 48
96110 Scheßlitz
Germany
Phone: +49 151 58448533
Email: mail@denniswagner.de
The controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of processing personal data.
3. Hosting
This website is hosted by:
ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich
Owner: René Münnich
Hauptstraße 68
02742 Friedersdorf
Germany
The servers are located in Germany. When you visit this website, ALL-INKL.COM processes the connection data needed to deliver it, including your IP address (see “Server log files”). For more information, see the privacy information of ALL-INKL.COM: https://all-inkl.com/datenschutzinformationen/ (in German).
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in providing our website securely and reliably.
Data processing agreement: We have concluded a data processing agreement with ALL-INKL.COM (Art. 28 GDPR). It ensures that the provider processes our visitors’ personal data only on our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.
4. Data collected on this website
Server log files
Each time you access this website, your browser automatically transmits information that the hosting provider stores in server log files:
- the page requested (URL) and the time of access
- the referrer URL (the page you visited before)
- browser type and version, and operating system
- IP address
- amount of data transferred and status code
This data is not combined with other data sources. It is used to deliver the website without technical errors and to fend off attacks. According to ALL-INKL.COM, log files are deleted after seven days at the latest. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Visitor statistics without cookies
To understand which articles are read, we use statistics built into our content management system. They run entirely on our own server; no data is passed on to third parties.
When a page is loaded, a small script sends the following information to our server:
- the path of the page,
- where the visit came from (only the domain of the previous website or a campaign parameter such as “utm_source”),
- the screen width, which is only used to derive the device type (smartphone, tablet, desktop),
- the browser family (e.g. Firefox or Safari), derived from the browser identifier.
Only daily totals are stored, such as “page X was viewed 40 times today”. So that a visit is counted only once per day, the system creates a checksum (hash) from the IP address, the browser identifier and a random value that is generated anew every day and never stored permanently. The IP address itself is not stored, and the checksums are deleted the following day. After that, nothing can be traced back to a person. No cookies are set, no data is stored in your browser, and no user profiles are created.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is knowing the reach of our articles and improving the site without restricting your privacy.
Objection: If “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” is enabled in your browser, your visits are not counted. You can also object to the statistics right here. Your choice is stored only in your browser (local storage, entry “cms-statistik-widerspruch”) and applies to this browser.
Your privacy settings
Display settings (local storage)
The “Display settings” menu lets you choose dark mode, high contrast, text size, the reading-friendly font OpenDyslexic and reduced motion. Your choice is only saved once you change a setting yourself, and only in your browser’s local storage (entry “cms-a11y”). The values never leave your device, are not transmitted to us or third parties, and cannot be used to recognise you.
The legal basis for storing them is § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act), because storage is strictly necessary for the function you have explicitly requested. You can reset the settings in the menu at any time or delete the site data in your browser.
Cookies
This website does not set any cookies for visitors. Only when members of the editorial team log in to the admin area are technically necessary session cookies set (for the login and to protect against forged form requests). The legal basis is § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Search
When you use the search, your search term is sent to our server to display matching articles. We do not store search terms. As the term is part of the page address, however, it may appear in the hosting provider’s server log files and is deleted with them (see above). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Contact by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, we process your enquiry including the personal data it contains (e.g. name, email address, content of your enquiry) in order to deal with it. We do not pass this data on without your consent.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is answering your enquiry. The data remains with us until you ask us to delete it or the purpose no longer applies (e.g. once your enquiry has been dealt with). Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
5. Fonts, images and external links
Locally hosted fonts
This website uses the fonts Bricolage Grotesque and DM Sans and – if you choose it in the “Display settings” menu – OpenDyslexic. All fonts are stored on our own server and loaded from there. There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other third party.
Images and content
All images are served from our own server. We do not embed videos, maps, social media posts or any other third-party content.
Links to other websites
Our articles, the glossary and the resources contain links to external websites, for example to sources, studies or tools. Data is only transmitted to their operators when you click such a link. The respective operator is responsible for data processing on those websites.
6. Your rights
Within the scope of the law, you have the following rights at any time:
- access to the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR),
- erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR),
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
- withdrawal of any consent you have given, with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR).
Simply contact us informally at the email address above.
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
Where we process data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process your data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement. The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.
7. Further information
Storage period
Unless a more specific storage period is stated in this privacy policy, your personal data remains with us until the purpose of processing no longer applies. If you request erasure or withdraw your consent, we will delete your data unless statutory retention periods prevent this.
SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in the address bar and the padlock icon in your browser. With encryption active, data you transmit cannot be read by third parties.
Objection to advertising emails
We hereby object to the use of the contact details published in the legal notice for sending unsolicited advertising and information material. We expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising, such as spam emails.
Changes to this privacy policy
We update this privacy policy when the website or the legal situation changes – for example if we offer a newsletter in the future. The version published here applies.
